An evaluation of the Danish assistance to the health sector in Bhutan.
Health Care the Bhutanese Way (2000) follows a group of experts who are evaluating the Danish government's assistance to the health sector in Bhutan. The film is a unique double eye on the evaluation process, examining the collaboration between the donor and the receiver. Slowly the audience get valuable insight into the mountain people's culture and health care consisting of a free choise of traditional or modern medicine or - the treatment by healers or by means of Buddhist/animist rituals in a broad variety.
